ABUAD MULTI-SYSTEM HOSPITAL

  • To complement its Medical Training Programme, ABUAD built an ultra-modern 400-bed Multi-System Hospital which was commissioned on October 20, 2017. The Hospital is populated with the most modern and sophisticated medical equipment and employed the best of hands that have made it the Hospital of first choice in Africa. This has stood it out as a clear leader and the toast of its peers in Africa.

ABUAD INDUSTRIAL RESEARCH PARK

  • As an innovative University that set out to make a difference, Afe Babalola University conceptualized the establishment of a 121-Units of industries in the Industrial Research Park, an amalgamation of industry with University to promote innovation, research, industrial development, employment and generate income for the industry, University community, the State and the Federal Government.
  • On January 25, 2018, the revered Ooni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, turned the sod of Industrial Park. This singular event marked the beginning of Industrial Revolution in Nigeria and since then, nobody has doubted the University's ability to do its judging by the streak of successes ABUAD has recorded since it came into existence slightly over 12 years ago.

ABUAD DRUG RESEARCH

Beginning from 2019, the University’s Bogoro Research Institute in concert with ABUAD Multi-System Hospital (AMSH), the College of Pharmacy and the Herbal Factory cited at the ABUAD Industrial Research Park, shot of international prominence by developing a herbal remedy called Virucidine for the treatment of the dreaded disease which changed the political, economic, health and the education equation of the world.

It has also developed a herb-based therapy called AB-MaL, a cheaper,  more readily available and affordable medication for malaria.

ABUAD’s other intervention areas of health include: ageing, cancer and benign prostate hyperplasia.

Yes, all Undergraduate students must live on campus. ABUAD offers hostel accommodation for a large number of its students. The University has several hostels on campus to accommodate students, including Postgraduate students.
No, Undergraduate full-time students at Afe Babalola University (ABUAD) are not allowed to live outside the school's hostels and campus accommodations. Only Postgraduate students are permitted to either live on or outside the campus.
All our accommodations are comfortable and fully furnished. There is access to 24 hours electricity and internet as well.
Undergraduate students are not allowed to come in with cars.
ABUAD has 2 semesters in an academic session and they are called 1st and 2nd semester.

Yes, ABUAD offers a wide range of extracurricular activities which are designed to enhance students’ experience and foster their personal growth. These activities include various sports programmes, student clubs and associations, which provide opportunities for leadership and collaboration. In addition to student clubs and sports, there are also social gatherings and events that encourage students to connect with one another.

ABUAD knows fully well that these extracurricular activities are significant to creating a well-rounded educational environment, to the end that our students may develop both academically and socially.

ABUAD is not a religious institution, both religious and non-religious people are being admitted to study at ABUAD. However, wearing of Religion in whatever form is not allowed.

The University admission requirements depend on your type of Application such as Fresh Undergraduate, Direct Entry, Inter-University Transfer, Foreign Fresh Undergraduate, Foreign Inter-University Transfer etc.

A.  The requirements for Fresh Undergraduate Candidates:

Candidates seeking admission as fresh undergraduates shall apply through our website Click here to access the school website or visit our admissions portal and also take the Post UTME which takes place online 24/7 once commenced.

Note: Candidates must possess the following:

i.  JAMB result for the year of application and must not be less than a score of 180;

ii. O'level Result (Medicine & Surgery shall accept five O’ Level Credits (WAEC/NECO/NABTEB) results in relevant subjects at one (1) sitting only, while other Programmes shall accept five O’ Level Credits (WAEC/NECO/NABTEB) results in relevant subjects at one sitting or five Credit Passes at not more than two sittings; and

iii.  Birth Certificate.

B.  The requirements for Direct-Entry Candidates:

The minimum age for admission in ABUAD is as approved by the federal government.

The JAMB cut-off mark in ABUAD is 180 and above. Any candidate that scored 180 and above is eligible to apply. But, candidates with less than 180 who applied may be considered for A Level Programme. However, such candidates can also click here for more information.

Yes, a candidate can use awaiting O’level result to apply for admission in our Institution pending the time that his or her result will be released. However, upon the release of your result, you must immediately upload your result on the JAMB portal and also present the same at resumption as it is a prerequisite for registration.

Yes, a candidate can combine two O’level results for all programmes except MBBS (Medicine and Surgery) and Law.

The JAMB subjects combination that can qualify a candidate for admission in ABUAD is as stated on the JAMB brochure and ABUAD website.

Any candidate can apply for admission in ABUAD whether he or she chooses ABUAD as first choice or not. However, such Candidates must visit the nearby JAMB office or any accredited CBT center for change of institution once your coming to ABUAD is beyond doubt.

Below are the required documents for International/Foreign Applicants seeking admission into 100L:

i. International passport of the domiciled country.

ii. Credit passes in English, Mathematics, and three other relevant subjects in any examination equivalent to the Nigerian O’Level standard (e.g., IGCSE, SSCE, GCE, Cambridge O'Level). Equivalent results from other examinations are accepted only when interpreted by the Ministry of Education, Nigeria.

iii. Academic records from high/secondary school attended (accompanied with both  original language and literal official English translation).

iv. Proof of English proficiency for applicants whose native language is not English, along with an attestation certifying proficiency from their secondary/high school or college.

v. Birth Certificate.

Required documents for Inter-University Transfer Candidates:

i.    International Passport of the domiciled Country.

Intercalated is the academic opportunity that allows Medical students (MBBS) to obtain additional degree different from Medicine and Surgery before the completion of their programme. At 400 Level, our MBBS students leave their programme to specialize in either Anatomy or Physiology for one year, graduate and obtain degree certificate in any of B.Sc. Human Anatomy and B.Sc. Human Physiology after which they return to 400L MBBS to continue their programme. This enables them to stand out and gives them a better edge over their colleagues from other Universities. Note that the one year taken out to obtain the degree programme is what makes our programme run for 7 years.
Our MBBS programme is referred to as Pre-Medicine and Surgery at 100 Level. The reason being that at 100 Level, our MBBS Students are to take general courses for the purpose of widening their knowledge. Upon obtaining at least 50% mark in all prescribed courses in 100 level, they shall be promoted to 200 level.

You must have created an Application account before you can pay for the application form.  All payments are paid online via Quickteller/Interswitch or take the transaction ID generated to bank for payment via Paydirect platform. ABUAD School fees are as published on the University website here for the Academic year you wish to enroll.

 

Yes, ABUAD permits 50% first installment except MBBS which must be paid in full for 100 level students, and can pay in installments from 200 level.
When you find yourself in this situation, it may be network failure. Therefore, we advise you to get a good network and keep trying. Also, note that it could be a bank issue hence, you may wish to use another ATM card.
